Uxbridge Parks and Trails

Parks and Trails

Uxbridge received the federal designation of being “The Trail Capital of Canada” in 2009.   The Trans Canada Trail runs right through the town. The town itself boasts over 220 kilometres of managed trails on over 8000 acres of protected greenspace running through or nearby forests, streams, ponds, meadows and wetlands.  One of the larges areas is the Countryside Preserve.  The preserve consists 6km of trails running through 140 acres of meadows, forests and wetlands.   There are many parks throughout the township.  Elgin Park right in town is the site for many activities throughout the year.  Uxbridge Fall Fair,  Rib Fest, Art In The Park, Hits Fest and the Fantasy of Lights are just a few of the big events held every year.
