The Uxbridge Optimist Fantasy of Lights

This year’s Uxbridge Optimist Fantasy of Lights is going to be another special winter holiday! For the past fourteen years, it has been our honour and privilege to host this event put on by the people of Uxbridge for the people of Uxbridge. Our light display is one of the biggest exhibits of Christmas lights in Canada.
Drive through the path of light displays at the beautiful Fantasy of Lights at Elgin Park in Uxbridge.
Join us any night from Dec 2nd to Jan 6th between 6pm and 9:30pm. We are even open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
There is no fee to enter, no ticket required. Simply show up during the open hours and drive through the park. We do gratefully receive donations (cash or tap) at the exit in whatever amount you’re comfortable with. All funds raised by the Optimist Club go towards supporting local youth initiatives.
People are coming from all around Ontario just to see the Uxbridge Optimist Fantasy of Lights. We exhibit over 95 light displays from community groups, businesses, schools, churches, families etc. from all around the Uxbridge area.

Put on your ugliest Christmas sweater and join us for a fun workshop! Your ticket includes all materials and one beer of your choice.
Using kiln fired, stoneware clay, Burnt Offerings Studio will help you hand-build a hilarious Ugly Sweater Mug just in time for the holiday season. Make yours as goofy as you like and dress it up with fun, bright colours. Your mug will be returned back to The Second Wedge Brewing Co. approx. 2 weeks after the event so you can enjoy a cup of Christmas cheer. Your Ugly Sweater Mug will be food, drink, microwave, dishwasher, freezer and even oven safe.

Here we go! The fourth show announcement in our Fall Friday concert series: The Jerome Tucker Band is coming up Friday, December 1 and they're gonna bring the funk!
Born in Philadelphia, Jerome Tucker is a lead vocalist and bassist who joined the US Navy, ending up in the Gulf Coast and moonlighting for various Blues and Cajun artists.
Following the Navy, he co-wrote songs with Ivan Neville, then moved to Chicago and performed with the city's greats. Today, Toronto is home, featuring his own band: Carl Harvey (guitar), Rob Christian (sax, flute & keys), Kingsley Etienne (B3), Neil Braithwaite (sax) and Rich Greenspoon (drums) - resulting in a polished explosion of funky soulful blues.

SYNOPSIS:
Based on the beloved Charles Schulz comic strip, this revue of songs and vignettes features the entire Peanuts bunch. They explore life's great questions as they play baseball, struggle with homework, sing songs, swoon over their crushes, and celebrate the joy of friendship.
Included is Lucy’s infatuation with Schroeder and her perverse joy at tormenting Charlie Brown, Linus’s love of his blanket, Snoopy’s rich world of imagination, and, of course, Charlie Brown’s hopeless love-at-a-distance of the mysterious little redheaded girl. Come join Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Sally, Linus, Schroeder and the rest of the Peanuts gang in this fun and colourful production that you won’t want to miss!
